Dedicated to Marcello Braccagni, the site of the former industrial building which currently houses the Municipal Library offers a space of around 700 sq m, accommodating over 40,000 volumes, together with archive documents of organizations and families from Colle.
Adjacent to the traditional reading room there is a room set aside for younger readers, containing audio-visual aids, computers and internet points.
Access to the library is free upon presentation of a valid ID document (or a parent’s document in the case of children).
The numerous archives it contains, all of which can be viewed, include: the post-unification municipal archive, the Ceramelli-Papiani archive, the archive of the former
'San Lorenzo' hospital, the archive of the former San Pietro Conservatory, the archive of the 'Modesto Boschi' glass-works, the Masson-Serafini-Castellini archive, the 'Cennino Cennini' Professional Training Institute archive, the Vittorio Meoni archive, and the Ceramica 'Vulcania' archive.
The Antique Collection, comprising around 1,200 volumes (from the 16th to the 19th century), most of which are 17th and 18th century editions, is especially valuable.
The Collection contains works on theology, morals, hagiography, and liturgy.
